Capturing Cotton Country: A Day with RB Sellars at Windy Station

21 May, 2025

By Clare Lee, Windy Station

In May 2024, the Windy Station team welcomed the RB Sellars creative crew for a day that was as much about celebrating Australian craftsmanship as it was about showcasing the landscape we call home. With rolling paddocks, golden light, and the hum of work in the background, the day was dedicated to capturing the essence of Australian-grown cotton and how it threads its way into the very fabric of our daily lives—particularly through our work shirts.

From sunrise, the paddocks came to life as the RB Sellars team followed us through a day in the life at Windy. The team was here not just to shoot clothes, but to tell a story—one of hard work, sustainability, and a deep connection to the land.

At the heart of that story is cotton—grown in Australian soil, harvested by Australian hands, and woven into garments designed to last. Our RB Sellars work shirts are more than just uniforms. They're tools in their own right: breathable, durable, and able to withstand the daily demands of life on the land. It was a perfect match—RB Sellars’ commitment to quality and sustainability aligns seamlessly with the values we hold dear at Windy Station.

The day was filled with plenty of laughs; it’s not every day you see a creative team lying in the dirt to get the perfect angle of a pair of dusty boots or chasing golden-hour light across a field. But that’s what made the day special: it was real, and it was ours.

This collaboration is more than just a campaign—it’s a celebration of Australian agriculture, regional resilience, and the materials that support us every step of the way. As the photos and stories from the shoot will show, they offer a window into life at Windy Station—and we hope they give you a renewed appreciation for Australian-grown cotton in every shirt you wear.

You can see the results of the shoot and some very familiar faces over on the RB Sellars’ website here
