FAQs

Visiting Windy Station

  • Windy Station is located at the end of Windy Road, accessed just to the west of Pine Ridge, off Bundella Road.

Click here for directions on Google Maps from Quirindi.

From Pine Ridge, the road is dirt so please drive to conditions and prepare for extra travel time if the road is wet. Please note that this is the only accessible entrance to Windy Station. If Google Maps attempts to take you on the scenic route – please refer to the directions above.

Phone reception is patchy along Windy Road, so keep this in mind when planning your trip. Remember, we are a working property so please watch out for livestock and other wildlife on the roads and adhere to all signage once you enter the property.

  • Any vehicles, machinery, footwear and clothing must be clean and free from pests, weed seeds and plant materials when entering the property. Every person visiting Windy Station must take additional biosecurity precautions including a chemical footbath, if requested. If you refuse to clean and demonstrate that your vehicles, machinery, footwear and clothing are clean, you may be refused access to the property.

  • Pets are not permitted at Windy Station. Visiting animals pose a biosecurity and safety risk to the inhabitants of our working farm.

  • YES! We can offer private transfers from Quirindi Airport and with some forward planning can also facilitate helicopter landing.
